Bon Samaritian Mission Haiti
He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:24-25

Bon Samaritain Mission Haiti, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), Internal Revenue
Service recognized nonprofit corporation in Gordonsville, Virginia.
The mission was formed in 2003 for the purpose of providing the
most vulnerable children in Leogane, Haiti with a safe place to
receive a quality education, a dormitory, as well as food and medical
attention to hundreds of others children. In 2006 the mission launched
Bon Samaritain Mission Haiti School. The project that BSMH Seeks
your financial support is for the construction of a dormitory for the
homeless students. And the number of homeless children in Haiti
now doubles.

Bon Samaritain Mission Haiti is unlike many educational systems
where the opportunity for quality instruction is extended to only the
best and the brightest. Vulnerability, or poverty plus children, is the
definition by which Bon Samaritain Mission Haiti selects their student
population. Students are selected on a greater-need basis (e.g.,
deceased parents, parental occupation, and number of children in the
home)…most of the children have no prior school experience. A
greater-need selection process identifies families or caretakers that
have a significantly decreased capacity to sustain the child’s
academic involvement. The selection process dictates that students
will have more risk and less support from home. Additionally, the
students’ lives outside of school have gone from poor to devastating
following the recent storms that have flooded Haiti. The January 12th
earth quake is even more devastated.
Giving hope to the Children

We believe children are a gift from GOD.

We believe no child is less important. Therefore every child deserves equal opportunity.

We believe today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders.

We believe eery child deserves a safe, crime free, sanitary environment in which to live and
find his area of creativity and the seat of his talent.

HAITI EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT

In Haiti, less than 65% of children of primary school age are actually enrolled. Of those enrolled in
primary school, less than 30% reach sixth grade. At the secondary level, the figure drops to 15%.
Of Haiti’s 8.7 million inhabitants, just below half are illiterate (Education in Haiti: Primary Education).
For the past 7 years BSMH Inc. has provided trusted Christian messages and others products that
committed to helping people share their hearts and God’s love without compromise.

This is our reason today with excitement extending our hands out to you in time of need, to join us
making a safe and secure environment for the children in Haiti. Everything we had, been destroyed
by the January 12th earth quake. We need your help to build a dormitory for the needy. This dormitory
will provides a safe and secure place for the children

You’re invited to join Bon Samaritain Mission Haiti in changing their world one child at a time. We
need medical supplies, clothing for the children and finances for food and supplies for personal
hygiene. You can support a child with a $25-$100 monthly. School tuition ($300.00-$1000.00 per
school year, rice ($90.00 per bag need about 1 1/2 bag a day. Ranges indicated reflect increased
costs depending on the age of the child being supported.

BEST APPROACH TO ELIMINATING POVERTY

We believe the best way to break the cycle of poverty is to equip children for the future. We believe if
we focus on the development of their spiritual, education, economic, social and physical aspects.

Our goal is to offer the following programs educational opportunities which we are already provided,
health care and instruction, supplemental nutrition program which we are doing to some degree, life
skills training and opportunities to hear about the gospel. Our focus is trying to influence the children as
early as possible and support their development through young adults.
Our Motto

We will create a safe haven for the students in the midst of an urban area.

Construction of a student dormitory built to U.S safety standards including the ability to withstand
hurricane force winds. The student dormitory will include bedrooms, classroom space, running water
(with onsite well), electricity, and a headquarters for the mission, with 12,909.1 square feet of living and
classroom spaces.
Children who have never been to school will have the opportunity to attend and
graduate. We expect that students who presently attend Bon Samaritain Mission Haiti School will have
better attendance, and as a result, better grades.

The students will experience less pressure to work in the markets for their food and clothing. As a
result we will be able to enroll first time students, as well as ensure that currently enrolled students are
less likely to drop out due to work pressures.
After the earthquake, there are no schools left in
Leogane. T
his school is essential.
